Late Shri Alam Chand Gandhi, the father of Shri Gulshan Lal Bhatia introduced the first ever hotel in Alwar in 1964 and gave a new dimension to the history of Hospitality in Alwar in the year 1992 by Launching Ankur Hotel. A man of substance and vision, he took forward his father's dream and made it a reality by tranforming the hotel and hospitality into more than just a family run business but create a unique footing for hospitality in Alwar.

He was awarded with Bhamashah Award by the Govt of Rajasthan in 2001 and is a name behind many Social projects changing the lives of several needy people. Few of these projects are Alam Chand Bhagwanti Devi Memorial Hospital in the year 2014, Alam Chand Bhagwanti Devi Bhawan (Rooms for travelers available at nominal charges and space provision for social gatherings and events) in the year 1988, Started the educational setup and donated to Government – in the year 2001. Still the support continues with the name of Alam Chand Bhagwanti Devi Rajkiye Uch Prathmik Vidyalya (till class 8th).

Managing Director, Mr. Manish Bhatia oversees the overall development of the group and is quite progressive in fostering teamwork focused towards a common goal. A Hotel Manangement Graduate from Merit Swiss Asian School of Hotel Management, OOTY (Tamil Nadu) passed out in the year of 1998, his rich industry experience is rooted to the trainning in the Industrial Training Program at Vivanta by Taj Ambassador, New Delhi.

Post which he joined Family Business of Hospitality and started MGB Hotels, the first venture in Alwar in the year 2008 and tied up with Clarks Inn to establish the first branded Hotel in Alwar. In 2013, first of its kind quick service pure vegetarian, hygienic street food restaurant was launched in Alwar under the brand name of Street Express. Following the F&B venture, he simultaneously introduced Occasion a Luxury Banqueting Venue. The feather to the cap is however, Sparrow – the budget hotel launched in 2015.

As Director, Mrs. Vandana Bhatia looks after the group's development plans, takes special care of F&B Production and Housekeeping besides new challenging assignments and developments. MSC from Jaipur ICG College of girls joined hospitality business in the year 2001 and with her spark and potential made a mark at MGB Hotels.

With her regular updates and progressive activities she has created a distinct position of the MGB Group of Hotels.
